Grieving can be lonely. We need people around us who understand how loss feels because they have 'been there'. They have lived experience of loss. I trained as a grief counsellor after the stillbirth of my daughter Isobel - and the 'Snowdrop Cafe' name comes from the memory of the snowdrops that carpeted the ground the day I lost her. 

In the course of my work , I see many people who gain valuable support from other people who have also experienced loss.
